Dean Robert Robinson

Dean R. Robinson, 68, of Oak Harbor, OH passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Admiral’s Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Huron, OH. He was born on September 3, 1954 in Fremont, OH to Donald and Helen (Sandwisch) Robinson. Dean graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1972, earned an A.S. from Stautzenberger Business College, Maumee, OH, and served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Airforce. He was a member of the Oak Harbor United Methodist Church. Dean enjoyed traveling, reading, and quiet time with family. He most enjoyed being a truck driver and being independent and seeing the country. Dean worked for Gordon Trucking based out of the Pacific Washington. He drove truck since 1993 for various trucking companies including for Tom Snyder owner/operator from 1999-2003. Dean was a Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan and liked his sports cars.

Dean is survived by his brother, Ray D. Robinson of Oak Harbor and his girlfriend, Brenda Rose of Port Clinton, OH and her two sons, John and Ryan Rose, both of Port Clinton. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for Dean will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 31, 2023 at the Oak Harbor United Methodist Church, 360 E. Ottawa St., Oak Harbor, with visitation one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will follow in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor is assisting the family with arrangements.
