David Mowry

David Carl Mowry, 71, of Perrysburg, passed away Monday, October 16, 2023 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo surrounded by his loving family. David was born June 12, 1952 in Elyria, Ohio to John and Carolyn (Ludeke) Mowry. He earned his master’s degree in education from Bowling Green State University and was a School Psychologist for both Rossford and Findlay City Schools. He married Karen Hill Hreben on June 24, 2000 and they shared 23 years together.

David enjoyed working on model trains, woodworking, sail boating, and the outdoors. He loved to travel and ride his motorcycle; but most of all he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Along with his wife Karen, David is survived by his children; Matthew (Alicia) Mowry, Ana (Chad) Smith, Ryan (Ashlee) Hreben, Kyle Hreben (Max) and Lauryn (Ali) Danesh Jafari; grandchildren, Jason, Gabe, Cam, Mila, Cohen and Sydni; brother, Bob Mowry and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends and family will be received Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 10 a.m.-12 Noon at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) where a Celebration of David’s life will be held at 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in David’s name to The Cherry Street Mission, The Salvation Army, or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
