Dale I. Cook, passed away on Sunday, June 29, surrounded by his loving family.
   
  
Dale was born on August 20, 1944 on the east side of town. Born to Clarence and Frieda (Schlender). He was the youngest of four children.
   
  
Dale served in the Army during the Vietnam War and later worked for AutoTronic Controls, Pantron Corp, and Craig Electric. He had over 50 years in Local 8 IBEW and Local 1076.
   
  
Dale always had nicknames for his great grandkids and loved them to pieces with nicknames like Jasper, Jedidiah, Festus, Sofie, Phoebe, Phil, Sadie, and Lucy just to name a few.
   
  
Surviving is his wife of 59 years, Karol (Papenfuss); sons, Donald (Anne) and David (Samantha); grandchildren, Kelsey (Jake), Becca (Rob), Chris (Becca), Brier, Dustin (Montana) and Zoe; along with 10 great grandchildren; and a sister, Jean Hidinger.
   
  
Friends and family are invited to visit Sunday, July 6 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm in the Maison Dardenne Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St, Maumee, OH. Services will be held on Monday, July 7, at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Waterville, OH.
   
  
The family suggests donations to a charity of choice or St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Maumee, OH.
