Christopher C. File

On September 17, 2018, Christopher C. File Chris died at his home in Maumee, Ohio. Chris was born on November 4, 1951 to Helen and Clair File of Dowagiac, Michigan. Chris retired from Tolco Corporation in June 2017 after 39 years of service. Within weeks of his retirement, Chris was diagnosed with brain cancer, the disease that would take his life. During the final year of his life, he visited with the family he loved so much. In May, he proudly walked his daughter down the aisle at her wedding. Chris loved outdoor activities: fly-fishing, bicycling, hiking and snow shoeing. He designed and built a country home in Ellicottville, NY. Chris is survived by his wife, Jean (Leahy); daughter, Erin (Correll) File Heard; son, Daniel (Liisa Hantsoo) File; sister, Sharon File (Jose Raphael) Emperador; brother, John Joseph Joe (Sandy) File; sister-in-law, Charlotte Miller-File. In addition to his parents, Chris was predeceased by his brother, James Whitman Whit File. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 11 A.M. at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee.
