Charles Sherwood, age 64, of Curtice, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. He was born in Williamsburg, Kentucky to Vernon and Roxie Sherwood. Charlie was a U.S. Army veteran with three tours in Vietnam. He worked for General Motors Corporation for 34 years as a set up man on the assembly line. Charlie enjoyed fishing in his pond, bowling, watching football games, tinkering outside and going to Las Vegas Casinos and buying the scratch off lottery tickets. Charlie is survived by his wife, Sharon; children, Stacy Jim Graham, Jason Sherwood, Kim Dan Marlone, and Marty Mary Miller and siblings, Rev. Dr. Sherwood-Howland Keith, June Sherwood, Judy David Howland, Norma Sherwood, and Dwight Sandy Sherwood ; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Carl; and infant sister, Bertha. Friends and family may visit on Friday, January 4, 2013 at Maision-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee from 2-8 pm where services will be on Saturday, January 5 at 1 pm. Interment will be held at East Swanton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Make-A-Wish Foundation. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio and Dr. Gale, Charlies special friend for the great care that was given to him.
