Cecelia J. Lorenzen, 89, of Martin, died Monday, January 18, 2010, in the Genoa Retirement Village. She was born February 18, 1920, in Toledo, Ohio, to Stanley and Rose Lengowska Zalewski. On November 30, 1946, in Toledo she married Edwin H. Lorenzen, who preceded her in death February 14, 2004. Cecelia was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Genoa. She worked as a beautician at the Lutheran Home of Toledo and several area beauty salons, retiring in 1990. She liked to dance and loved to travel and had been to Europe, Hawaii, and all over the United States; but her joy in life was her grandchildren. Cecelia is survived by her daughters, Janice James King of Martin and JoAnne Steven Arndt of Elmore; sons, Tony Peggy Lorenzen and John Vicki Lorenzen both of Martin; brother, Chester Marjorie Zalewski of Toledo; grandchildren, Megan and Erin King, Michael Kortney Lorenzen, Jenna Lorenzen, Christopher and Nicholas Arndt, and Kiel and Rachael Lorenzen; and great granddaughter, Kaydence Lorenzen. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Helen, Theresa and Alice, and brother, Walter. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2010, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, Genoa, with the family present 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 21, 2010, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Genoa. Interment will follow in Allen Township Cemetery, Williston. Memorials for Cecelia may be given to Our Lady of Lourdes, the Genoa Area Local Schools Scholarship Fund, or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.
