Albert A. Flores, 63, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on June 25, 2012. Born July 17, 1948 to parents Antolin and Gladys Rivera Flores in New York City. He attended Heidelberg College where he graduated with degrees in Sociology and Spanish. Later, he obtained his Masters degree in Gifted and Talented Education from Bowling Green State University. He served as a Spanish teacher for 36 years at Libbey High School. He retired in 2010 to focus on his interest in nutrition as a distributor of Shaklee products. In 2008 he was awarded the Diamant award for his leadership in the Hispanic community. He sat on the board of the University of Toledo EXCEL program as well as other community services. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Alfredo, Antolin, and Alexander. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Mary, sons, Antolin Emily Flores and Benjamin Lisa Yearsin Flores; daughter, Sarah Berlanga. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Hannah Berlanga and Cristian Flores and his sister, Gladys M. Flores; as well as many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to visit from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday today, in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Avenue, west of Corey where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday.
