Alan Fred Gordon

January 26, 1941 — February 5, 2021

Alan F. E. Gordon, age 80, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021. Alan was born on January 26, 1941 to Richard T. and Edith (Bradley) Gordon. Surviving is his son, Thomas Gordon; sister, Barbara MacDonald; nieces and nephews, Daniel (Diana) MacDonald, Susan (Mason) Brommer, Laura (Ron) Mills, Jean (David) Cook, Thomas (Nazmin) Gordon, Richard Gordon Jr., Stacia (Gary) Groen; great-nieces and nephews, Elizabeth (Darren) Ross, Daniel J. MacDonald, Kurt Brommer, Eric (Megan) Brommer and Samuel I. Mills. He was preceded in death by his parents, great-nephew, Alex Brommer; brothers, Richard and Gregory; and sister, Edith Patricia Gary. Alan worked as a shipping clerk for Burlington Mills and a security guard for Montefiore Cemetery in NYC until his retirement. His great love for baseball started as young boy listening to the Brooklyn Dodgers play at Ebbets Fields. This was a lifelong interest that he enjoyed sharing with everyone. One of the many things that personalized his life with the nickname, “The Yes Man” which was given to him by the family, whether it was a family gathering, entertainment or what new restaurant to try. Alan was agreeable, which characterized how he lived his life in a simple positive manner, surrounded by family. There is a great deal we can learn from his lifestyle and will treasure these memories each and every day. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the care givers at the Manor of Perrysburg for their affection, care, and comfort of Alan. Services will be private. Arrangements by Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home. Online condolences may be shared at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com
