Gary Walker

Gary graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Active in the community, Gary is a member of the First Congregational Church, Zenobia Shrine, Charter Member Mariners Unit, Toldeo Ft. Industry Lodge#144 F & AM, Toldeo Rotary, and the Toledo Elks #53 BPOE.

 

Gary and his wife, Marilyn, have six beautiful grandchildren.

Keith Walker

Keith works to serve families as a funeral director at all five of the Walker Family Funeral Home chapels. What drives Keith’s passion for assisting others in their time of need, is the strong belief in the importance and value of well-arranged, personal funerals and memorial services. He is past president of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association and the serves as President of the Sylvania Rotary Club; and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce.

 

Keith and his wife, Katherine “Katy,” reside in Sylvania Township with their four sons.

Dave Latta

Dave graduated from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and lends his talents in the areas of embalming, cosmetics and restorative art. He is a member of the D-Mort, the National Emergency Response Tram and serves as a responder on the Ohio Response Team. His civic involvements don’t end there; he is also a member of the National Board of Directors, the Funeral Directors Association and the Funeral Directors Association of Northwest Ohio. He is also an officer of the Trilby/West Toledo Rotary Club and an active member of the St. Pius X Parish.

 

Dave and his wife, Sarah, reside in West Toledo and have two children, Allison and Andrew.

Terry Andryc, CFSP

Terry is a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a Bachelors degree in Interpersonal and Public Communications before pursuing further education at the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He is a charter member of St. Joseph Council #11370 of the Knights of Columbus, past trustee and treasurer of the Northwest Ohio Funeral Directors Association, and is a long time member of the Ohio Funeral Director's Association's Convention Committee.   He attends St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Maumee where he served as past chairman and secretary of the church’s cemetery board.

 

Terry and his wife, Karen, have two children, his son Alan and  wife, Maggie and daughter Valerie.

Shawn is a graduate of Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Not only is Shawn a funeral director but also he lends his talents as a skilled embalmer and cosmetologist. He is active in Leadership Maumee and serves on the Focus Group for the Maumee Senior Center.

 

Shawn resides in Maumee.

Tracy is a native of Graytown. He earned his Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Owens Community College and pursued further education at Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science graduating Magna Cum Laude. Tracy was also a class representative and earned the Ohio Embalmers Association Award for Embalming. Upon graduation, Tracy began his journey with Walker Family Funeral Homes with his funeral director apprenticeship in 2005 before earning his funeral director/embalmer licenses in 2006. He is a member of the St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oak Harbor as well as the Oak Harbor Golf League and the March Club in Oak Harbor. Tracy resides in Perrysburg with his wife, Sarah.

Mitch Hoyles

Mitch is a native of Attica. He attended Bowling Green State University and graduated from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Mitch is also an Ohio licensed insurance agent. Active in the community, Mitch is a member of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association, past president and board member of the Northwest Ohio Funeral Directors Association, a member of the Genoa Area Board of Education, past president and board member of both the Genoa Area Kiwanis Club and the Genoa Area Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Genoa where he is a Eucharist Minister, Lector, and member of the Maintenance Committee.

 

Mitch and his wife, Denise, have two children, Tyler and Mackenzie. In his spare time, Mitch enjoys spending time with his family, working in his year, tinker with his 1964 Corvair and rides his Harley-Davidson.

James “Jim” Ridener

Jim is a native of Franklin, OH. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the Miami University in Oxford and pursued further education at the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Jim joined the funeral home in 1994 serving his funeral director apprenticeship before earning his funeral director/embalmer licenses. Active in the Ottawa County community, Jim is a member and 2-time Past President of the Oak Harbor Rotary Club, member and past board of directors of the Oak Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce, member of the Port Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce, member of the B-C-S Schools Finance Committee, former member of the Oak Harbor Village Tax Board of Review, member of the Port Clinton Elks Lodge, member of the Port Clinton Yacht Club, member of the Oak Harbor Masonic Lodge #495 F&AM, Ottawa County Shrine Club, Scottish Rite, member of the Marsh Club in Oak Harbor, member of the Colonial Club in Port Clinton, and a graduate/alumni of Leadership Ottawa County.

 

Jim and his wife, Sara, have four sons, Ryan, and triplets: Jacob, Isaac, and Carson. The family attends St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. When he is not assisting others, Jim enjoys spending time with his family and sports, especially golfing and bow hunting.

Maggie is a native of Sandusky. Prior to joining the Walker family, Maggie, worked for Prudential Insurance Company in Sandusky as a secretary for 31 ½ years before retiring in 2000. She is a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sandusky.

 

Maggie was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie. She has one daughter and two grandchildren, Kennadi and Kaleb. In her free time, Maggie is a Longaberger Basket Collector and loves to scrapbook, stamping and crafts of all kinds. She also enjoys spending time with her family.

Genoa has been her home since 1977; however, Teresa was born and raised in Oak Harbor and graduated with her Associate Degree in Secretarial from the University of Toledo.   Prior to joining the Walker family, Teresa worked as a secretary at Owens Technical College and St. John’s United Church of Christ in Genoa. She is a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ and has been active in the choir and music program for almost 40 years. Teresa is a member of the Ottawa County Community Foundation and the Genoa Homecoming Committee and serves as treasurer for the Genoa Merchants.  She and her husband, John, have two daughters, Mary Lewis and Sara (Clint) Bourgeois and three grandchildren.  In her free time, Teresa enjoys playing the baritone horn with the Packer Creek Brass Quintet, reading murder mysteries, bowling and camping.

Jennifer is a native of Genoa. In addition to assisting in pre-arrangements, Jennifer coordinates the Ottawa County Silver and Gold Club for Walker Funeral Homes. She is active in the Oak Harbor Chamber where she serves as an Ambassador and is President of the Port Clinton Chamber Ambassadors. She is also a member of the Marblehead Peninsula Lions Club.

 

Jennifer and her husband, Corey, reside in Oak Harbor with their daughter, Hannah, German Shepard, Ava, and their Jack Russell, Jack. Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family and friends and her dogs.
